I'm watching Working!! / Wagnaria since the first season is up on Crunchyroll so I can catch up and then catch the 2nd season just being released and simulcast. I've been wanting to watch this show for a long time, I've had a great interest in it.

One character in the show completely lacks breasts. I think this feature is just so cute and attractive. But people who like the female form, usually like breasts, simply because it's a typical characteristic of women, just speaking in terms of physical attributes. Please inspect Exhibit 1

There's a lot not to like about Inami, since she's violently androphobic. She may not be able to help it, but there's no doubt her behavior is seriously sexist. So the fact that I find her so cute, is completely character design. It's not like all the characters are flat chested and Inami just happens to be the cutest one of them. And she's 17, in terms of anime ages, well old enough to be busty and well developed. Someone help me explain why I think she's the best looking character in the show? Well because she's a DFC but I can't explain it. Maybe if someone explains what is appealing about busty girls?

Going to agree with Bonham here. Bigger breasts = great is embedded into us. I also read that we are the only animals that prefer to have sex face to face and other animals prefer doing it from behind. Well big breasts look like big butts (kinda) and primates are attracted to bigger butts (comfort.) It's just in us. Bigger breasts are also seen as a sign of good health.

Then there's different strokes for different folks. Sometimes our experiences just change our preferences, but we can't deny what's in our DNA.

edit: Just read that some believe men who had large breasted mothers are attracted to smaller breasts.

Wow that's all very interesting about butts you two. I have never heard about the theory that breasts mimic the shape of the female rear that triggers our evolutionary mating instincts. I support this theory since a scientifically logical argument coincides with my scientific mind.

Yeah come to think of it, I don't really care about big butts either, I'm more attracted when they are not wide or rounded and plump, whether the girl is skinny or not. So what this means, in the way that only a portion of the population inherits many qualities that make them more fit for producing fit offspring, I represent that portion that did not inherit them. I consider myself reluctant to mate alongside my preference for girls who are apparently less fit than ones that are.

And to get on the point about cleavage, I find it so unattractive in fact. One time I saw a young lady with low pants that showed her butt cleavage. OMG that was such a turnoff. If breast cleavage is supposed to be appealing then I suppose most men also find butt cleavage to be attractive. I didn't even know that, what is so nice about a butt crack? It's butt ugly.

However I'm not sure about the implications that being attracted to flat chests equate to having an attraction to adolescents. Since children are, by definition undeveloped and sexually immature, that's not necessarily proof that attraction to someone resembling a child is directly linked to pedophilia.

Considering my androgynous leanings, I think my attraction to flat chests is more tied to my interests in cross-sexual attributes (ie women with male qualities and men with female qualities). It's easy to draw 2 identical anime characters and call one a trap and the other one a flat-chested girl. I would find both to be equally cute, one just has a penis and the other does not.

Definitely feel like the big boobs thing is a western thing and frankly it's not really one that I've ever fully understood. I rather dislike them being shown off in anime/manga because most of the time it seems to call attention the fact that the character is a female, not that the character is simply awesome regardless of gender.
It's like, calling attention the fact that I'm a nerd is one thing, but once I call attention the the fact that I'm an XX chromosome nerd, then I feel like I've lost any self respect. I don't need to remind people that I'm a female, they can see that, and if I do bring it up, it hurts my rep as a nerd since I don't seem secure with just that I'm a nerd, it'd have to be a female nerd.
I feel like a lot of anime have been using big breasts the same way, to make sure that the audience knows that they're female. And I don't think it's very nice to the audience, we have eyes after all. I don't like being reminded that the character's gender is something we should pay attention to when they're kicking ass or something.
I mean, why do you think Alyx Vance is so popular? She's not over sexualized either, which is nice.
Also Kino, did anyone lose or gain any respect for her because they actually told us her gender? My respect level didn't change because she'd already proved to be awesome.

Yeah, I'm not really into big breasts. Usually when I find a character or person with large breasts attractive it's for some other reason. I usually notice the face first and I prefer plain girls over "hot/fake" girls (Playboy really does nothing for me). As and Bs are nice, but as breasts get bigger they get more saggy, like big fat bags. Sure they might be nice if they can all be firm and keep a nice shape, but real ones rarely do and they all stretch with age. And then there's the nipples, on large natural breasts they often look like a shower cap pulled over a bowling ball, just gross.

As far as other "out of the norm" interests go, keep in mind that I am straight with no interest in men, but I do love reverse traps. I find girls dressed as guys incredibly cute (but it has to be obvious). I prefer short hair over long hair and short shorts over short skirts. I've always lived in the country doing the typical country stuff (fishing, camping, hiking) so I guess that caused my interest to lean towards tomboys. I've always liked Inamai, ever since the first episode of Working!!, the Fate/Zero version of Saber in the suit and tie is my favorite version, and Mayo Chiki was one of my favorite shows from last season (though it annoyed me they would call her "flat" despite her obvious C cup).

I always find it odd that the government will focus on banning drawings of naked children as "virtual child porn", but an adult made to look under 18, especially when school uniforms are involved, are A-OK. Isn't that also virtual child porn? Why are drawings illegal, but real people not? Seems like there would be a bigger issue with real people pretending to be underage since that would appeal to a wider audience than drawings would.

I don't have much of an opinion either way, as long as a body shape is natural. You can't help what you're given, and if a women falls into either extreme (too big/too small) she shouldn't receive any sort of negativity (or extreme bias toward her) for appearing a certain way. Personally, I think big'uns get in the way, physically and visually. But that's IRL.

For animated characters, I do believe highly in the design of a character. Design has meaning. Why would a character have extremely large/small breasts? Most of the time, too big is unrealistic. Too small is more acceptable, though, because it's not unrealistic, though it shouldn't define her character and her interactions with others. I really like Inami, but not because of her shape. (One thing that does annoy me about Working!! is that what's-his-name doesn't respect Popura. He views the women as objects for comparison.)

Admittedly, from just a visual perspective, I am more attracted to smaller-chested female characters because of the variety of cooler designs. I've noticed this as a long-time fan of artists like Murata. He can create amazingly powerful designs for "smaller" women, though he's equally good at making shapely women look fantastic. Also, smaller women have more opportunity of being respected for their minds/personality, despite their "childish" appearance, because they have to make up for what's lacking to entertain the male audience's eyes. Obviously I don't think this is how it should be, but that's how entertainment works, right?

Speaking of "child-like" appearances, I'm not really concerned with that more than I am with someone's mental state. If they're mentally childish, that's a turn-off.

Basically, I think all women are amazing. But I am biased toward smaller-chested women in cartoons because I prefer their designs and like drawing them...

Eh. It depends on my moods. Whatever strikes my fancy at the time. At least character/fiction wise. Some days are Boob days, some days aren't. Never been into butts very much and am actually more attracted to a woman's bare back than her backside.

In real life I've been more interested in girls who are "Different"/creative. Sure there are some women I've seen who had some noticeable features in some form or another but If I was seriously wanting a relationship it wouldn't be the most important thing I'd judge her on.
