Just finished reading Fruits Basket volume 21. Sigh...I love this series. <3

Vagabond - OK, I will admit sometimes I think this manga isn't exactly for girls but then again who cares? I like it a lot and I am curretly to volume ten. It has been a really nice surprise, but I have a long way to go.

The Wallflower - I am approaching fast the last volume and I think I am still amused by this series. I like the light tone of this series, although it tends to become a little bit repetititve now, like someone else mentioned some time ago. And honestly as pages flow, I think the author is starting to put our patience to the test. Anyways, still an enjoyable experience.

I had a re-read the other day of Mars - I remembered why I liked this manga so much. The story is beautiful and of course offers second chances which I always love. I rooted for these two characters even when the story was becoming a little too overdramatic.

Well I finally have time to read Fruits Basket vol 21. So I'll eventually make it back to the ANN thread and just randomly post my thoughts on it and be late to the party like usual lol. What I want badly right now is X/1999 vol 6. I need it before I can continue on and I can't find it anywhere. Everywhere seems to be out and I'm not buying some torn/used volume on ebay.

Black Jack 02 - More consistent quality control than the first volume. Hard to pick a favorite, though the hostage hospital is an the biggest stand-out, to me.

Though how the origin story eventually twists into an environmental warning is really awkward. Comes across as an afterthought.

Blade of the Immortal 20 - And we're in-line with the Japanese release. Finally.

Samura is at last picking up speed here and delivers the start of a satisfying climax to an otherwise dull arc. I particularly like how he nudges Rin's growth in the face of the reader about halfway-through this volume -- if there's one great thing that's come out of these past few volumes, it's her development.

Monster 18 [Re-read] - The somewhat aimless nature of a lot of sub-plots are lost here as Urasawa finally tightens up his narrative. If he had done this throughout the rest of the story, instead of padding it with mawkish and trite platitudees and situations, I wouldn't hesitate to keep the series in my collection...

Lunge's character arc is especially satisfying, as is Grimmer's. Both characters could stand on their own in any other story, and I find myself more invested in their fates than I do Tenma's.

And that final chapter and last panel is fantastic.
