I'm calling it right now: 2 non-BCS schools will find their way into the BCS bowl games. I just don't see how they can deny either Utah or Boise State a chance to play in one of them. When you think about it, there's just now way to do it without doing one of them an extreme injustice.

I'd like to see that happen to. Texas Tech can't go because only two Big XII teams are aloud and Boise State has a higher BCS ranking then Ohio State. If Ohio State gets in that would be an injustice.

I think that's complete and utter bullcrap that they'll only allow 1 non-BCS school to get an automatic bid, and honestly, they'd better get that changed as soon as possible. Honestly, I don't even know why it had to come down between Boise State and Ohio State. Screw that, what about Boise State over Virginia Tech or Cincinnati!? I don't care if they both won their leagues, there's no way either of them deserve to get in ahead of Boise State! I mean honestly, I don't know about anyone else but I'd find a Boise State vs. Cincinnati matchup, or heck, even a Boise State vs. Utah matchup more appealing than a Virginia Tech vs. Cincinnati matchup! But apparently it's not about that, it's all about how much money you can make off of big name schools playing each other, no matter how crappy they're doing..... I mean seriously, if you're not going to have a playoff system than at least let the teams that actually deserve to play in the BCS do so......

Anyways, rant over, it's now time for me to lament over poor, poor Weber State... At least it was an awesome and fun trip, and I can at least congratulate the team on a wonderfully amazing season like we've never seen before here at Weber, but still......   Oh well, here's hoping for an even better next season! I really do like the outlook for it, now that we've got all the pieces together right from the start this time, the returning star players, the experience and many lessons learned and the passion to want to do better (or at least I hope anyways).

I call BS over that BCS thing too. Boise State has a better ranking over Ohio State in the BCS's own poll. So how in the heck can Ohio State get in over Boise State

Why the hell did I think that the Bull Crap System would give Boise State an invite to one of their bowl games? I mean, it made perfect sense to put them in it but I'm sure the BCS didn't think that a Boise State vs. Texas game would really be competitive. I was actually dumb enough to think that it would be possible, but I guess we can all dream, can we?

That's just the thing, like I said above I don't think it should have been a decision between them and Ohio State in the first place. I think they should have taken either Virginia Tech's or Cincinnati's spot.

I would have to disagree with you a little bit there BroEl. Virginia Tech and Cincinnati did everything what was asked for them to do. Win your conference. Ohio State didn't. So then you go to the ranking. Alabama, Utah, and Texas get in because of their ranking. Texas Tech can't go because you can only have two per conference. So now you are with #9 Boise State and #10 Ohio State. Boise State not only has the righter ranking and better record they won their conference. So with all that, Boise State deserves to go to a BCS game, not Ohio State. If Ohio State wants to go to a BSC game so bad play some tougher team to get a higher ranking or win your conference.

I know that the BSC seriously screws teams not in the top six conferences. What's the point in having conferences like the MAC or WAC or the Sun Belt if they have no they in anything. I think if you win your conference you deserve to play a big time team.

SYRACUSE HAS GOT A NEW COACH

Doug Marrone

I don't know how long it will take to get back to being good but I'll be happy just to get into a bowl game.

So Sam Bradford won the Heisman. I'm really looking forward to the National Championship game.

But I agree with you guys on the whole only one non-BCS team allowed. The BCS frustrates me to no end, which is the reason why I am not that into college football as much sometimes. Oh well, what can you do?

I try not to let it bother me all that much. I mean I say the BCS is the only thing wrong with an otherwise incredibly exciting NCAA Football. There's just so many other things to love about it that this one little flaw in it's system, as stressful as it is, just isn't that big a deal to me in the bigger picture of things.

I will say though that if they ever do come up with a playoff system, I hope it somehow involves the bowl games. Because honestly, I really do think that bowls are part of what makes college football so special to me. I've always enjoyed spending the holidays watching some good ol' college football bowl games, it's one of my favorite time periods in the sports world. They've just gotta decide the national champion through a playoff system is all. But that doesn't mean they have to get rid of the bowl games!

^You're darn right about that! Only thing I see wrong with that though is that now we don't get the pleasure of being the one and only blemish on their record.... Oh well, the site of all the dejected Montana fans after how big and cocky they were at that game we went to was well worth it.

Also currently waiting down the hours 'till BYU's bowl game matchup with Arizona. Should be a good game.

I still think it's ridiculous that they paired the two military academy teams going to bowls with teams that they beat in the pre-season... especially considering the type of offenses Navy and Air Force run aren't meant to go up against the same opponent TWICE in a season.

Oh well. I'm looking forward to the BYU-Arizona match-up tonight.
