What movie did you see last?

What's new in Hollywood? What are you watching on TV? Got any classics you wanna discuss? Here's the place.

3 Women - A "dream movie" like Picnic at Hanging Rock that I randomly rented. Eerie, cold (lukewarm?), depressing, and a little sweet. Shelly Duval's character was so absurd and pathetic, but I just felt like hugging the poor character most of the time. I really enjoyed the movie even if it was a little boring and pretentious in a few spots. 8.5/10

Mulholland Dr. - Been a while since I last saw it. I think I'm more disturbed now than when I was a kid. I want to describe this movie, but others have done it a lot better than I could so I'll just say I loved it. It was like Twin Peaks minus the crappy episodes. 9/10

The Three Musketeers - Cartoony and stylish. Nothing great, but I had a lot of fun watching this with family and friends :D People are really hating on it, but sometimes you just gotta let a cute movie entertain you 7.5/10

Wait Until Dark - Man that was good. Effective and classy thriller. I loved the touching moments since they made the horror parts more effective. 8.5/10

Eyes Without a Face - Elegant and tragic 50s French horror. It was a pretty emotionally intense and dark. 9/10

Perfume: Story of a Murderer - Ugh... thank goodness you look good, because you suck in every other area. Someone took the worst of Edward Scissorhands and Amadeus and blended them into a chunky stupid mess. 4/10

The Skin I Live In was awesome, depraved, and elegant. Not the best date movie, but luckily my girlfriend loved it. We plan to marathon a few Almodovar movies now. 8.5/10

My uncle likes Twilight so I watched watched the first three with him lol.
Twilight was meh 5.5/10
New Moon was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. 1.5/10
Eclipse... I was entertained 6.5/10

The ones I've seen (not listed in order of viewing or preference):
What Have I Done to Deserve This?
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown
Matador
High Heels

I really enjoyed "Women..." with "What Have I Done..." and "High Heels" as my next two favourites. "Matador" was good but it's not for everyone. I remember the scene in it where Banderas' character faints at the sight of blood and someone goes on about how could he be the killer given that condition. Priceless.

I was going to say that the director placed a lot of humor in such a dark movie, but it worked so well and never felt out of place.

Sucker punch. I'm still not quite sure what to make of it. I think I might have preferred it if it had decided to just go fully out as basically fanfiction on film and just be 100 minutes of constant ridiculous OTT action...

I purchased "Blade Runner: Final Cut" from the iTunes store and watched it last week. To me it didn't differ much more than director's cut. But it's been at least a decade and a half since I watched that version. I believe I owned it on laser disc. :sweat

Free HBO weekend so I have several movies on DVR but I watched Unstoppable with Denzel Washington. Good movie. Pacing and action were good. You could tell in a few places when they were trying to make it look like they were traveling fast but it was where it would distract you from the movie. Not sure if they used miniatures but if they did, good use of miniature and live action.

I enjoyed it.
